Automatic Mechanical Bar Screen

Short Description
The Hydronovus Mechanical Bar Screen is a fully automatic, self-cleaning solid-liquid separation device engineered for heavy-duty wastewater pretreatment. Installed directly in the water inlet channel, it features a robust chain of specially shaped rake teeth mounted on a rotating axis. As the rake chain moves uniformly upward, it lifts solid waste out of the water while allowing fluid to pass through the gaps. Upon reaching the upper turning point, debris falls off under gravity and guiding rails, with any remaining solids cleared by a reverse-rotating brush. The entire operation runs continuously, ensuring the efficient protection of downstream pumps and biological processes.

🌟 Key Engineering Advantages

  • Continuous Self-Cleaning: The automated rotary rake and reverse-brush mechanism eliminate blinding, ensuring uninterrupted flow and minimal manual maintenance.
  • Scalable Structural Design: For channel widths exceeding 1500 mm, parallel units are installed to ensure absolute structural integrity, prevent frame deflection, and maximize screening efficiency.
  • High-Strength Transmission: Driven by premium gear reducers designed for high torque and low noise, equipped with intelligent overload protection to prevent mechanical damage during jamming events.

📐 Civil Engineering Sizing Guide

To assist consulting engineers with civil works and channel design, the HLCF series follows strict dimensional relationships based on the primary Device Width (B).
  • Channel Width (B1): B + 100 mm
  • Effective Grille Spacing (B2): B - 157 mm
  • Anchor Bolts Spacing (B3): B + 200 mm
  • Total Equipment Width (B4): B + 350 mm
  • Installing Angle (α): Adjustable between 60° and 85°
  • Channel Depth (H): Accommodates depths from 800 mm up to 12,000 mm
(Note: Teeth spacing b dictates the rake design. If t=100, 1≤b≤10. If t=150, 10<b≤50.)

🏭 Typical Applications

Widely deployed across municipal and industrial sectors:
  • Municipal Wastewater Treatment & Sewage Pumping Stations
  • Food & Beverage: Meat processing, dairy industry, beverage production.
  • Heavy Industry: Mining, petrochemicals, paint factories, paper mills, and printing/dyeing.
