⚙️ How It Works (Gravity-Fed Separation)
The main body of the static screen features a specifically engineered arc-shaped (or flat) stainless steel surface made from V-shaped profile wire.
- Distribution: Wastewater is pumped or gravity-fed into the headbox and evenly distributed across the inclined screen surface via an overflow weir.
- Filtration: As water cascades down the screen, the sharp leading edge of the wedge wire shears the liquid away, allowing filtered water to flow smoothly through the gaps.
- Continuous Discharge: Solid matter is intercepted on the surface. The kinetic energy and hydraulic force of the cascading water push the solids down to the lower end of the sieve plate, where they are continuously discharged.
